What a thrill to open for Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldi on their acoustic tour when they stopped at
the Paramount Hudson Valley, Peekskill, NY

I've been lucky over the years to share the stage with many great musicians. Here are a few of them and a couple of stories.

Guy Davis

Acoustic Blues at its finest. Guy Davis is spell-binding. I remember when I opened for him I did a quick sound check after him. I played a little harmonica, and I remember feeling so nervous to play in front of him - he's a real player, I consider myself just a harp hacker. But when I went back to the dressing room he told me I sounded good on the harp! Made my night. I'm sure he was just trying to be nice.

Bernie Williams

I'm a huge Yankee fan, so opening for Bernie was already gonna be a huge thrill. But I didn't realize that he would be such a wonderful guitarist and band leader, and a warm and friendly person. At The Paramount in Peekskill, he came down from his dressing room and listened to most of our set from the side of the stage. He thanked us for playing! He and his All-Star band were on fire playing his funky and Latin tinged jazz, and Bernie looked like he was having the time of his life.
